2012: The First Fasting Clinic in North America

It was clear to Dr. Jason Fung and Megan Ramos that conventional dieting was not an effective strategy. After extensive research, they began incorporating intermittent fasting strategies. 2018: Intermittent Fasting in Type 2 Diabetes
Committed to doing ground-breaking research, the IDM published its first peer-reviewed paper in the British Medical Journal Cases demonstrating the therapeutic use of intermittent fasting for people with type 2 diabetes as an alternative to insulin therapy.
2019: The Fasting Method Online Program

While fasting is conceptually simple, it is not easy by any stretch of the imagination. To help, TFM teamed up with fasting coach and clinical psychologist, Dr. Terri Lance to add Behavior Coaching for individuals looking to develop healthy habits and improve their mindset around food and fasting.
It’s not always easy to find a doctor who understands the science behind insulin resistance and fasting. This lead to TFM joining forces with low carb cardiologist, Dr. Nadir Ali, to offer telemedicine and health consulting services.
